The board still follows classic 2048 merge rules. A Peasant is a 2, a King is a 2048, and the same corner-building habits still apply.

Royal 2048 transforms the classic number-merging puzzle into a royal ascension. Merge matching ranks to climb from a humble Peasant through Knights, Barons, Dukes and Princes — all the way to the King.

Each merge promotes a rank. King is the 2048 milestone, and the ladder continues through intentionally fictional higher titles.
In Royal 2048, the 2048 tile is the first King milestone. After that, the board can continue into High King, Emperor, and higher fantasy ranks without changing the merge rules.

1. Slide the board
Use the arrow keys on a computer, WASD, or swipe on the board on a phone or tablet. Every rank moves as far as it can in that direction.
2. Merge matching ranks
When two tiles of the same rank meet, they become the next rank. Two Peasants become a Squire. Two Squires become a Knight, and so on, until two Princes become a King.
3. Reach the King
A new Peasant or Squire appears after every successful move. Keep combining ranks until the King tile appears. You can keep playing afterward if the board still has a move.
4. Use power-ups strategically
Royal uses the same Undo, Swap, and Delete tools as Standard. They can recover a mistake, swap two ranks, or clear every tile of a chosen rank.

Keep your highest-ranking tile in a corner and build lower ranks toward it. Letting a Duke or Prince drift into the middle makes the next promotion much harder.
Try to keep neighboring tiles in rank order, such as Prince-Duke-Marquess along one edge. Ordered rows make the next promotion obvious.
Royal starts with the same two Undos as Standard. Use them when a swipe pulls the high ranks apart, especially late in a run toward King or beyond.
God-Emperor is the 131072 rank and the top of the current title map. Protect your highest-ranking tile in a corner, build lower ranks toward it, and use Undo when a swipe breaks the court chain.
